Tips to Stop Comparing Yourself to Others We all do…
Earlier this week, a friend of mine posted this online:
“Traveling definitely has a way of showing me all the UPs and DOWNs in very exaggerated situations.
I receive my HIGHEST HIGHS and my LOWEST LOWS.
I’m starting to understand that it’s less about trying to stabilize myself,
more about ALLOWING myself to feel the full spectrum without judgement while practicing non attachment.
Each state of being is not “me” and doesn’t have to be my final attitude or way of being.
The arts has been able to show me this lesson in many ways.
I have never, and will never want to be an artist
who only shows the light or only the dark
but really the WHOLE capacity of what this human life offers.
So if i understand THAT in my ART,
WHY have i been trying to “balance” myself into blandness
by holding back on any side of my emotional being?
I vow to ALLOW myself to feel to the fullest,
without judgement or fear and while taking full responsibility
for MY reactions and actions.
I vow to continue dancing through life,
which means the beautiful AND the ugly parts.”

The above video + song really resonated with me
and reminds me that we all fall down.
We all face times where we have to get up and try again.
We all have shadows that we have to walk through —
Life is not always SUNSHINE and FLOWERS.
To get through STRUGGLE successfully is to EMBRACE OUR WHOLENESS.
But how? The trick to is to NOT push.
IS A FEMININE STRENGTH AND SKILL
YOU CAN LEARN TO NURTURE AND DEVELOP.
Next time you feel lost, alone, tired, confused, frustrated, or ugly, defeated, unaccomplished, or down…
Don’t PUSH through…
Instead, turn inward.
SLOW DOWN. MEDITATE. DANCE.
CONNECT with your ESSENCE.
Connect with your Soul.
Qoya believes through movement we remember.
We remember our essence is wise, wild and free.
WISE: Calling on the wisdom of yoga.
WILD: The creative expression in dance.
FREE: Expanding our capacity to enjoy being in our bodies through feminine movement.
Listen to your Truth from within.
- Be guided by your Higher Self.
- She is with you ALWAYS.
- All we need to do is slow down, ask for direction, help, guidance, wisdom.
- And be OPEN and WILLING to RECEIVE.
I was steered to this video that illustrates the potential when we do:
- WHAT WE NEED WILL BE BROUGHT TO US.
- WE WILL CONNECT WITH WHAT WE DESIRE.
- WE WILL FIND SUPPORT + STRENGTH + SISTERSHIP.
- AND A NEW WORLD OF POSSIBILITY WILL BE REVEALED.
By PAUSING in your day, you can feel your way through the chaos.
You will learn to hear the whispers from your Soul, beyond the NOISE of the world.
You can connect with your Inner Wisdom. And magic will begin to happen.
You will get to know yourself.
You will be steered to the influences, the helpers,
and the knowledge needed to advance with YOUR cause.
Which is getting to know the True You while here on Earth.
The whole you. The yin. The yang. The feminine. The masculine.
YOU in ALL your shades and shadows, strengths and weaknesses, confidence and doubt.
The dark. The light. Neither “good” or “bad.” You in your wholeness.
